Vegan Egg Mayonnaise Deli Roll

Vegan wholesale food doesn’t need to be plain! Take this twist on a classic recipe and add it to your vegan menu. Using stable ingredients, Kara’s Vegan Egg Mayonnaise Deli Roll is a hearty lunch option.

1 Kara Classic Deli Roll

Mango chutney

Lemon zest

For the egg mayonnaise filling:

1 can of chickpeas, drained

2 tbsp vegan mayonnaise

1 tsp dijon mustard

1 tsp finely chopped parsley

1/4 red onion, finely chopped

Salt & pepper


Smash the chickpeas to soften, leaving some larger chunks for texture.

Mix the chickpeas with vegan mayonnaise, dijon mustard, red onion, parsley and then season with salt and pepper to taste.

Lightly toast the deli roll and then add a good layer of mango chutney onto the base of the roll.

Top with the chickpea mix and finish with some lemon zest for added zing.

Serve immediately with some vegetable crisps and hot dipping sauce.

The mango chutney and chickpea mix may seem an odd combination – but believe us, it definitely works (try it and see!).
