Spider Pies

We have an itsy bitsy secret – our spider pies took us less than 10 minutes to make! Created using Kara doughballs, they’re the perfect seasonal menu addition for schools to give the children a real fright this Halloween, without sacrificing hours in the kitchen. This recipe is also versatile enough for you to complete using a range of different fillings to suit dietary requirements and tastes.

20 Mins

Kara 180g Doughballs

392g Chunky Chicken Pie Filler

To create your spider pies, roll out your doughballs in to small thin tubes. Place your pie fillings into individual oven proof ramekins. You can add extra veg for added nutrition at this stage if you like, and begin to place over the long dough. This can be as messy as you like at this stage!

Place the ramekins onto a deep baking tray and add a small layer of water to the bottom. Place in a pre-heated oven for 30 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and pie filling is hot.

Allow to cool for 10 minutes before placing on eyes for decoration. Serve with cheesy mash for a delicious and Autumnal dish!
