Halloween Pumpkin Burger

Add an autumnal feel and create a spooktacular menu this Halloween with our seasonal Halloween Pumpkin Burger!

1 Kara Sliced Gourmet Brioche Style Bun

1 ripe cooking pumpkin

A handful of black kale

Maple bacon

Burger of your choice

2 slices of Red Leicester cheese

Chilli sauce

1 pepper


For the pumpkin puree:

Preheat the oven to 250°C.

Slice the pumpkin in half, then scoop out the seeds.

Place pumpkin halves, cut-side down, onto the baking sheet;

Roast for 40-60 minutes (you’ll know the pumpkin is perfectly roasted if a fork or knife easily pierces the outer skin).

Cool until you can safely handle the halves, then scoop out the soft flesh into a food processor. Process until the pumpkin is at your desired consistency (we recommend 3-5 minutes).

For the burger

Take Kara’s Gourmet Sliced Brioche Style Bun and spread a generous amount of pumpkin puree on the base.

Add a handful of wilted black kale and 3 slices of maple-glazed bacon.

Top with your meaty burger of choice, then layer with red Leicester cheese and melt.

Drizzle over a sauce of your choosing (we recommend chilli sauce for some added spice!).

Place on the lid of the Gourmet Brioche Style Bun- pre-cut eyes with a small knife into the bun and place the stem of pepper on top for an extra slice of Halloween fun.
