Brioche Baked Alaska
With retro dishes now becoming more popular, take the brioche ice cream bun trend to the valentines day level with this baked Alaska bun.
Simply pipe on meringue and top with sauce and it’s the perfect sharing dessert option.
Gourmet Brioche Bun
3 Large Egg Whites
85g Caster Sugar
100g Vanilla Ice cream
50g Raspberry Sauce
Whisk the egg whites into stiff peaks in a clean bowl, add the caster sugar 1 tbsp at a time, continuously whisking, until it holds its shape. We recommend using a kitchen aid.
Take Kara’s brioche bun and place under a grill or in a toaster and begin to toast.
Take the Ice Cream from the freezer or the counter top, and place in the centre of the now toaster base of the brioche bun.
Place your meringue in a piping bag and pipe around the ice cream. Top with raspberry sauce and two spoons and serve.
