As the hospitality sector embarks on the road to recovery set out by the UK government, the latest edition of The Krumb is a step-by-step guide on how Kara products can help operators on the road to recovery.

March 29th is the latest step in the UK moving forward to normality and here is how Kara products can benefit each sector.

Hospitality Sector

Under government guidelines the stay at home requirements still remain, but, people can leave home for recreation outdoors with their household, support bubble or one person outside their bubble. Outdoor walking has been the new way of life for the past year, if vendors haven’t already done so, take advantage of the new normal and offer takeaway coffees and sandwiches. With more households allowed to meet up, now is the time to offer takeaway afternoon tea packs and picnic pack ups using Kara sliced breads and bloomers; great for all the family.

The first day of spring has sprung and the clocks have gone forward. With staying in now the new going out, eating at home kits have now been adopted by both fine dining and mass market operators. Branded recipe boxes have boomed over lockdown in 2020 and they are set to continue as we welcome the warmer weather, why not offer your customers DIY BBQ packs, providing meats, sauces and Kara buns  perfect outdoor socially distant dinner; a great alternative for getting the personable restaurant experience at home.

Care Home Sector

Exciting news for many is that from March 29th, care homes will now be allowed to welcome one extra visitor, allowing more people to see their loved ones. As well as investing in extra PPE and testing kits to ensure you are keeping everyone safe, offer small afternoon tea kits or Kara scones served with clotted cream and jam. Kara scones come individually wrapped to avoid cross contamination and are ideal for families and friends to treat themselves whilst catching up over a coffee.
