Kara's new "Restaurant Collection" includes a variety of rustic continental breads specially selected for the kind of eye and taste appeal that commands a higher price from consumers.
The new range of 8 rolls, baps and baguettes includes a variety of differently shaped breads featuring artisan touches such as organic flour, seeded tops and use of sun-dried tomatoes and olives.
Consumers are prepared to pay more for products which don't look mass produced and complement a quality filling - for instance, the Delicette is a great looking, flavoursome bread produced using 100 per cent organic flour while the Foccacia bap will take a variety of fillings - a great partner to a gourmet burger," said Kara General Manager Jeff Dean.
