Lemon & Thyme Turkey Burgers
These burgers are not only delicious but low in fat too! They go really well with our unique Seeds and Oats baps! Go on give them a try!
Ingredients Serves 4
1 tbsp sunflower oil
1 onion, finely chopped
500g pack minced turkey
zest of 1 lemon
2 tsp fresh thyme leaves (or you can use 1 tsp of dried)
2 tbsp chopped parsley
4 thin rashers of streaky bacon
Lettuce leaves
Sliced tomatoes
Tomato sauce (optional)

Method
Heat oven to 200C/ 180C fan/ Gas mark 6.
Heat the oil in a non stick pan, fry the onion for a few mins until lightly browned and soft. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Mix the turkey with the lemon zest, thyme, parsley, fried onion and season to taste.
Shape the mixture into 4 burgers and wrap a rasher of bacon around each. Place on a deep baking tray or roasting tin and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until bacon is starting to crisp. Place on some kitchen towel to remove any excess grease.
Serve in a Seeds and Oats bap with lettuce, sliced tomato and tomato sauce.
Eat whilst hot!
