About Kara

Kara Foodservice is based in Whitefield, near Manchester and as a company, we're completely dedicated to meeting the requirements of foodservice customers.

The Kara name was synonymous with burger buns in the past but bringing products from group sites in London, Manchester, Sheffield and Barnsley together under the Kara Foodservice banner means we now offer you more - a whole lot more.

Through our website, we're proud to introduce you to some of the terrific range of products now available through Kara Foodservice. For example, as one of Europe's largest manufacturers of muffins it's important for us to bring you market leading products and we hope that you will take time out to sample our great new variants.

We've been manufacturing a range of croissants and pain au choc products at our London site for some time, but following recent upgrades to both plant and process we are launching what we believe to be the best quality products in the market. We're also extending our range to include pain au raisin, cinnamon swirl and more. We look forward to you becoming a regular visitor to the Kara Foodservice website where our Flavour of the Month section will keep you up to speed with all our product ranges. So why bother going to the trouble of sourcing products from the continent and further afield when we are manufacturing them right here on your doorstep?

All of these developments need to be grounded in our understanding of trends developing in the market, and we are currently involved in a major research campaign to better understand the needs of all our foodservice customers – both now and into the future. This will help to further steer our product evolution so that, whether your customers are in a hotel, restaurant, on a train station platform or in a factory canteen, we can establish which bakery items best suit their needs and improve our offering accordingly.

What's the next great sandwich carrier? Which sweet product will become flavour of the month? With some statistical analysis plus a dash of creativity we aim to continually deliver these answers, and the accompanying products.

Kara Foodservice is a new and evolving business which will succeed through the endeavours of our people to constantly deliver the right products to you, our customers.
